HOW DO I COMMENT
I found out the other day why washrooms are often labelled “WC” on floor plans. I thought to myself “Shouldn’t it be ‘WR’ if it’s a washroom?” but IT TURNS OUT that “WC” stands for “water closet”! Whoa! As to why they call them water closets… no idea. Maybe I’ll look that up one day.
Also, the bottom (lowest point) of a pipe is called the pipe’s “invert”.
Now you know people.

Also, in Hong Kong, they call them WCs, so I’ve known what it meant for a long time (since.. you know, I learned my words). When I came to kindergarten, nobody knew what the heck I was talking about.
They have sooo many different words for “washrooms”. like Bathrooms have a bath/shower. WCs are usually just the toilet and sink and nothing else. I think. Haha.
